Slop in steering
My 2007 Saleen has developed an annoying amount of slop in the steering. My local shop says the u-joints in the steering shaft are to blame, and the fix is replacing the steering shaft.
Considering the car only has about 30K miles on it, I'd like to replace the shaft with a higher quality aftermarket part. But although I see beautiful needle-bearing replacements for older Mustangs, I haven't been able to find anything for the S197s.
Is there such a part? Or should I just bite the bullet and replace the shaft with the standard Ford part?
