I have a 2001 SVT with low miles. I installed Magnaflows about 5 months ago. About 2 months ago I started hearing a tick coming out the end of the right side exhaust. It has since turned into a light knock sound like a rod knock. There are no knocks coming from under the hood or underneath the oil pan. I have changed the oil and filter and no metal in oil or filter. The knock increases with rpm but seems to go away above 3500 rpm. There are no exhaust leaks or exhaust parts hitting on anything. I have read there might have been a problem with the 99-02 Svt rod bearing and Ford replaced engines under warranty but the problem was still there?.-------Has this been a problem with the SVT? Has anyone here have/had this problem? engine or

Check the cat... if it has impacted anything the ceramic honeycomb is probably fractured.

I have had to replace 3 cats, on my 03 cobra, magnaflow X pipe.

I am thinking about putting MIL eliminators on it, check engine light came on a few days ago and I am betting it is the same issue

Those engines are well built.

Doubt it's a rod.

The SVT recall was on the 1999 models not putting out the advertised horsepower of 320.
