This was another random encounter at a gas station. Pulled up behind him to fill up and some of his buddies came over to check out my car. I told them all I had done to it and they told me his mods.

We pretty much all agreed that he would walk me pretty steadily but wanted to see it anyways..

The hopped in their SUV and we were off.. did a 50 roll which is not my favorite but he requested it. I wanted to do a Dig race but he was reluctant so I didnt push the issue.

His friends in the SUV went way ahead to film the race, not sure why they sat in the middle lane but W/E. Wish I could have gotten a copy of the video from them but we went our seperate ways afterwards.

I dont think 50mph is a good place for either car. in those he would be in the upper end of 2nd, so he started in 3rd probably which would explain the lead you got followed by him pulling you back near even, looks like he screwed up the 3-4 shift... .he should have bought an auto

40mph starting in 2nd would have been better for him i'd think. but he probably figured if he started in 3rd and just had the 3-4 shift it would work out.

Good run man!! Think a little lower of a roll would of helped the 4.6 out but hell yea! Lol it doesnt look like he missed 4th or anything just a little bit of a slower shift is all.

Agreed. With my 4.10's 35 would be a perfect speed for a roll, but 50 I don't think 50 would be too good. Good run though, I'd like to run a new V6.

Yeah I was alittle puzzled by his request for a 50 roll. I just thought it had something to do with his 5 speed and 3.55 gears. I was expecting him to get the jump on me and continue walking.


Thanks man, yeah a 35 roll would have been my preference. Pretty sure if I didnt have a short shifter, he would have got in front of me a tad.

Hell yeah, I didnt shift like this till i installed the short shifter.. the stock shifter made me grind alot and was terrible.
