Default Need help on Purchase please!

Found a 98 Cobra with only 41k miles for 12k even. KBB says 12k even and NADA according to bank when I went for loan says 12.7 roughly.

My question is : when i went to test drive / view the car the engine light came on while getting down on the pedal. Everything else on the car is in great condition. Paint appears that it's been under a cover or in a garage for most of it's life and it's only had 2 owners.

When we returned with the car to the dealer from the test drive I told them about the light coming on and that I lost my interest. I was planning on coming back to test the light myself to see what code it returned. A friend of mine came back with me today and checked the code and it returned 1516. The dealer says they will take care of the issue themselves along with a few other minor problems the car had (just a new belt and fixing the drivers seat).

What are your opinions on it? Dealer is not open tomorrow and they are putting the car in the shop on wed so I have until wed afternoon to figure out if I want to do it or not.

I guess I'm asking what do you think about the code that it returned. I believe it is just a sensor but do you think that it will lead to greater problems?

Thanks
