3.7 vs. 2v and/or srt Jeep
#21
Its too bad you have a 3.7 instead of the torque monster, you may have been able to get the jeep. I heard they discontinued them in Mustangs, they were causing too many injuries on launch because of the torque.
No but really, pretty much what everyone else said. Those new sixers are impressive, try to get the 2v on video.

Oh, and I am one of said haters on the autos. My SS is an auto and I really wish I would've waited for an M6. I understand their strong points, but doesn't seem like a fair trade to me for everything you loose. Different strokes for different folks, glad you guys like your autos. My SS is for sale if anyone wants an auto bolt on LS1 btw.

In my opinion, the driving experience. Its just not the same. And unless you have a flappy paddle auto that come on some high end sports cars, a manual is almost always faster around a road course. You also loose fuel economy and add weight with an auto.
But to each their own, if you guys prefer autos then I'm glad you're happy with them. But I really only like autos on luxury cars.

I like both. The auto in my wife's G35 is ten times better than mine. 5 speed, very fast response paddle shifters, etc. Damn thing is put together right. I can bump the paddle shifter twice and go from 3k rpm to 7k rpm in a split second in that car. My SS doesn't compare, but from a dead stop or a speed where I can hold a gear at a good rpm, it's stout. And I'm not going to lie, with the unreliability of my particular auto and not so great gearing, I would take a T-56 over it in a heartbeat. Guess my point is that it really comes down to which particular automatic you're comparing a manual to.

Autos are getting better and better these days.
