Its nice you respect your guy. But if ive learned one thing over the past few years is that every bit of advice you receive from a shop should be taken with a grain of salt. Stalling an automatic tranny drag car is common knowledge. Your car will be faster with a good stall. Now on to your car running lean. Are we sure we have the right fuel jet in the system? Secondly. Is the fuel pump up to snuff? Has the fuel system been presure tested? An upgraded pump is cheap insurance.

Jets were right, fuel pump was at 80% on motor alone as shown to me on the dyno.

Not trying to insult you but you probably know there is only a few things to make it run lean. Not enough fuel or to much timing. Sometimes its the simple things.

he knew the pump was causing it, he knew that months ago when he made his last thread about the track times. That's why he's said that part of his winter mods are going to be a bigger pump and a bap to be extra sure it's plenty of fuel this time.

Correct, I was shown the laptop right after the final motor pull i was around .46 or .47 on motor alone when .50 is maxed. We agreed it didnt look good but i drove all the way there so we went ahead and figured give it a shot see what it does. It went lean no shocker so he got out of it. Jetted down to a 50 shot and still too lean for his liking so the chart didnt go any lower so he busted out a calculator and figured what would be needed to step down some. I'm making about 50 ft lbs over my motor numbers with the spray so im guessing its a 25-30 shot. Not much but its safer and was enough to hold me over for the little bit of what was left last season.

So like greddy said I have gotten a pump and a BAP and 4.10s and 31 spline set up for the rear end. Its going back for the full 100 shot this year. I was thinking about doing the converter before the re tune with new gears and pump. He says he can make it do great with the stock converter so why not try it ? Thats $1200 i wont be spending right now on the converter. I will say so far with the tune he has the tranny done right. Driveability is amazing, not that it was bad per say with my canned tune but he mentioned doing some things with it you dont get with mail order stuff and I'll say it drives awesome. So I'll give it a shot, I have nothing to lose really so.

However i share the idea most of you guys have. It seems cut and dry flashing at 2500<3500 but well have to wait and see what happens. He does this **** every day.
