I paid the dealer $500 to weld on true duals on my 2005 V6. This is a premium price I realize but I didn't want to risk problems later that they could blame on my after market upgrade. They look and sound great. I had to have both side of the bumper cut to handle the tips but you could never tell unless you lay on the ground and look underneath. Well worth the expense to change from the single to the duals in my opinion.

Nothing wrong with going to the dealer since it's an '05. If you buy a GT takeoff bumper with cutouts to go with true duals on earlier models the total cost might very well exceed $500, depending on whether you are lucky enough to find one in the correct color and in excellent condition.

I'm looking to get dual exhaust on my 2006 V6. I would order online the BBK Hi-Flo Catted X Pipe part no. 4011 that comes with hangers from americanmuscle.com and i would get Borla ATAK part no. 11806 from amazon.com (I found them for $520 on ther which is phenomenal) and i would take the parts to a shop for only install.
My question is, about how much for install at a local Meineke or Pep Boys or a local privately owned shop? my guess for just the midpipe and mufflers was about $200. Is that pretty close?

p.s. the BBK midpipe reuses exsisting passenger side piping between stock midpipe and muffler and everything has clamps, no welding needed.
