Lowering springs will make your car handle better but they ride harder. I lived in NYC and had a BMW 7 Series with lowering springs and after market 18" rims and the ride was horrible. I bent two rims, broke a strut and had to have my lower control arms replaced. If you decide to go through with the upgrade, look into getting adjustable shocks. They will help but you've still got to be careful of the pot holes.

where i live pot holes arent a real big issue and as far as shocks struts im not upgrading untill the one i have go bad
