Default When clutch in rpms still climb? Help needed

Well my 2001 mustang thats the 3.8 V6 and and 5 speed. Here recently when typically slowing down to stop and such when the clutch is in the rpms get stuck or slowly climb to about 2500. When I downshift coming up the stop it doesn't happen as often and it tends to be worse with the air running. Has anyone had this happen and can help me out. Thanks

It sounds like you need to clean your IAC or replace it. I would recommend replacement.

Sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere. listen for a whistling sound, check any gasket that may be bad. clean your iac and if it still does it, use throttle body cleaner to find the leak
