Default Pulley Torque Specs

Hey gang...I'm about to install a set of BBK UD Pulleys on my 95 V6. The installation instructions only tell me to tighten the bolts to the factory specs, but they don't tell me what those specs are. Can anyone tell me what the factory torque specs are for the two pulleys? Also, should I use Locktite?
Thanks in advance! -Ken

Thanks, Shadow. That helps, but I still need the torque on the Alternator Pulley. Anybody?
Thanks -Ken

I always use the german "ghudntite" method and red loctite. Mine has been on for 3+ years now with no probs.

Thanks. LMAO!
The Germans know a thing or two about cars. Right? That's the approach that always worked for me before I had a torque wrench. Now that I have one, I like it to earn its keep now and then.
Follow-up... The fine folks at BBK emailed me today that the recommended torque is 30-35 ft/lbs. for both pulleys. They also said Locktite is not necessary unless you have an impact wrench to remove them if needed later.

30-35 for the crank pulley? maybe a difference in year and manufacturer from the instructions i posted but i would still think that 35 is low

Thanks again Shadow. That does seem kinda low, doesn't it? On the '95, the Harmonic Damper is not one piece with the crank pulley. The swap is simply just the pulley. Maybe that's why? I learned from your instructions that it was in 1999 when Ford combined the harmonic balancer and the crankshaft pulley into one unit. For your year it seems that the bolt that holds the damper to the crankshaft torques to 115 ft/lbs. The bolts that hold the pulley to the damper get torqued to 45 ft/lbs, according to the link you posted. I'm assuming that the part that applies to my '95 is the Pulley to Balancer (45 ft/lbs) since my balancer never leaves the crank shaft? The bolts are pretty small, 1/2" I think. Am I understanding this correctly? Am I making too much of this torque issue? Is "gudntite" good enough? Thanks again!

Keep in mind, while I just go off of getting it nice and tight, I also feel that I have the "mechanics' touch". I've been turning wrenches for many a year now. So, I did go in sequence around on all the nuts little by little. Also, you will be dealing with aluminum, so be careful there. Good luck!

ok that makes sense. i thought that you were doing a harmonic balancer with it. if just the pulley then 45 should be fine

Default Pulley bolts

Now I know the torque spec, but my 98 broke the crank pulley and destroyed 3 of the bolts. I bought a new dampener but I need to know what the 4 bolts are, size and thread, can't find a reference anywhere, and this time they will be locktited.
Please Help, Thanks Sys
