Default getting custom frabbed catback dual, how to get better sound?

many moons ago i shared my video with thrush turbo muffler on stock exhaust...it sounds just stock but idle has a good rumble.

got a pipe bending machine and am going to buy some alumanized pipe, 2 thrush turbo mufflers, and some stainless steel exhaust tips.

what is the stock pipe size? if i get a bigger size pipes, like 3 inch....will i get a better sound?

local shop said even getting catback it wont change the sound because the car has 4 cats, but if i get a bigger pipe would it sound better?

what y'all recommend? i was gonna get a catback pypes system for 500$ but i dont have much money so looking for the cheapest setup that will look nice and sound decent.

2.5' - 3" pipes.

Could always remove the back set of cats and replace the front ones with high flows.

Depends where you live and if they test that stuff.

what is the diameter of the factory Y-pipe? because I hear 2.25 pipes are stock, and I want 2.5" pipes with 3.0" tips....so how do i connect 2.5" pipes if the factory Y-pipe is 2.25"?

Personally I'd split the y weld in the mufflers and call it a day...if you want to waste money to sound good like I did. Het a set of lt headers, a cat less h pipe and a cat back that uses chambered mufflers.
