Default 1996 base mustang to cobra brakes.

I know that the rotors on the front are larger, going from 11 inch to 13 inch rotors. Now my question, is the caliper bracket the same bolt pattern to put the dual piston cobra caliper on? I do not wish to change the master cylinder right now. But, also, is the rear worth doing the cobra swap? i know that the caliper is about the same, but are the rotors larger? same size? different size pads? just a few questions so i can get to work on the wifes car. car shakes like crazy on the brakes, and they always sucked even before the shaking started. a little input is awesome here thanks y'all! also, im new so have a hard time navigating the sight...so if this has been answered, just point me in the direction and help me out a little!

For the front, you need the rotors, caliper, caliper bracket, and pads. Rear brings it from 10.5" to 12". Requires a different bracket.

Fronts are a great upgrade. Rears isn't something 99.99% of street driven cars will ever benefit from.

As stated, fronts are where it's at, however I did both front and rears on my 5.0, but then again I was pushing a nice chunk of power out of that old engine and needed the stopping power. To do either you will need new brackets. The fronts aren't hard to do, but the rears will require removing the axle from the differential.

awesome! thanks guys i appreciate the help. didnt know about the rear and having to remove the axles. but...Ive got my eyes on a cobra rear end. since mine has a mile of slop in it. slams extremely hard when you shift from park to a gear. just rebuilt the trans myself in the shop, shifts amazing while driving, just when you go from park to reverse or park to a forward gear. U joints arent the prettiest either. so ill be doing a bunch more in the shop. thanks for the help! and real quick, do you guys agree that it may be the rear end (or the center pin) allowing the harsh gear change?
