okay guys it reads code p1336 and took it to a mechanic and every day for the past 4 day each time i pick up after it was fixed the check engine light came on and the code is still p1336
they replaced the black crank position sensor that is bolted down to the what looks like a distributor with no spark plug wires ....
each time they worked on it they would set it to top dead center and the rotor that spins to i guess fire at number one .......what could be the problem
any body have picture of were yours is pointing to wether it point at the thermostat or pointing down towards the a/c pump ya know were the wire harnness is pointing on the crank position sensor ..... i hope im am clear of what i am trying to say.... thx so much guys....

That thing is the crankshaft position sensor synchronizing shaft. Had had to replace mine from it going bad and squealing like crazy but I never had a check engine light from it. Are you sure they replaced the sensor or just cleared the light with a scan tool?

I believe that code is for the camshaft position sensor CPS. As said above, it is usually the cam synchronizer going bad. It wears (like a distributor would) and will give a code when it can't pick up a clean signal. See the good video below about cam synchronizers. Notice I said the code is "usually" the synchronizer - all wiring should be checked before replacing parts.
