no no , No 302!!! it will cost you alot of money in the long run , I would get a split port eninge off ebay or a mustang graveyard for about 500-600 bux and put it in , 195 horses over your 150 would be a def improvement

but the split port option is also going to cost you a ton of money just not as much as a 302 swap.

Yup! But the hell with it...shove a 4.6 in that bad boy and leave the V6 badges on it!

Junk it! I had this happen to my 1991 TBird, it's onlt going to get worse. An engine swap is the best answer, and i concur on a split port 232 or find yourself a V8.

I refuse to believe 95 is a junk engine when I have over 300hp in it

Wow. You guys ramble a lot dont yah?

Truthfully 1500 doesn't sound right for the crankshaft bearings though.....

Nobody seemed to mention just pulling the whole crankshaft out of an earlier model 232. Probably cost you about 150-200 bucks if you get it from a junkyard.

A splitport 232 can be found for about 700-850 and the wiring harness for about 150. But this can be a waste of time as replacing the crankshaft and porting the engine could be about 800 if you do it yourself.

If you are just looking to fix the engine, just go with the crankshaft replace.

If you are looking for more power as well there are the already mentioned options of a splitport engine or the v8. But there are many other options like a 4.2 stroker......
