Question Mechanic Recommendation: Santa Monica, CA

I live in Santa Monica, CA and I need a reliable mechanic for general maintenance work on my 2000 Mustang GT. The most elaborate work that I need done is a timing belt change. Otherwise, it's just generic fluid changes that I'll need from such a mechanic.

Does anyone know a good mechanic in or around the Santa Monica area (West of the 405, North of LAX)? With gas prices these days, the closer the better!

Many thanks in advance!

you might want to find/make a friend in the area thats into mustangs as well and help you do it yourself. belt and fluid changes are the easiest things to do to a car. youll save money and feel the pride of maintaining your own car. just a suggestion tho

lots of folks in the city live in apartments and condos which either don't allow you to work on your cars, or don't have the room, outlets, storage space, air compressors, etc that garages do.

You might call Checkpoint Automotive, as they are Ford experts and the local Shelby club meets here:
