Ok, I have a 2000 mustang GT. My current tires (Nitto 275 DR's) are coming to the end of their life. I am having a lot of traction problems in first and second gear. At the local drag track I cannot keep my tires planted whatsoever (and yes, I am a decent driver). Launching the car at like 1500 RPM's I was able to pull off a 8.79 @ 82 MPH with limited spinning but any launch above that and I sit and spin. This is running them at about 20psi...

My question is what tires would you recommend? I NEED a decent lasting tire because it is a DD and also need decent wet traction (nothing superb). I have a 17x9" rim that I will be mounting them on. Should I try to run like a 305 nitto? Or would that be too wide for those rims? Would a BFG 275 be a good tire and have decent life? Any opinions would be appreciated.

Spec stage II clutch with lightweight flywheel
SCT flash tuner on 93 octane tune
and more.

Dyno'ed with stock rev limiter at 280whp and 310 ft/lbs.

With that in mind, make me some suggestions!
