Default S197GT wheels on 97GT

I recently sold my 08 GT/CS would the tires and wheels fit a 97 GT? Have any of you ever shipped tires and wheels? The cheapest I can find to ship these things is like $267 to the guy who wants to buy them (he'll be paying the shipping but he's a friend so I want to try and make it as cheap as possible). Any reply would be helpful, thanks.

Depending on the width of the wheels and the diameter of the tires... probably not

Either way, they will be approx. 3/4" deeper inset on the '97 and just about guarantee it will rub due to larger tire. Can you give me the wheels dimensions and the size of the tire (all three numbers please)

It's the California Special rims, I think they are 18X9.5 and the tire is just the stock 235/45 BFG's.

Far as shipping, it will cost a decent bit but pretty sure you could do it for a lot less then $267. If you find out the exact boxed weight of the rim/tire and then length, height and depth of the box in inches and PM me the info, I can check couple of my shipping resourses to see what the most cost effective method would be.

Also need the zip coming from and going to as well.

I think a 35X35X12 box is what one tire will fit in, I need to ship them from O'Fallon Illinois 62269 to Hamilton Ohio, 45011.

You wheels will NOT fit on that '97, so I recommend you find another buyer.

Ya, I need to get rid of some other stuff to, I still got some 4.10 gears that got about 2000 miles on them and the stock sway bars, mufflers, manifold, and those tires/wheels.....looks like it's time to get familiar with Craigs list.
