7. 1979 3.3L 6-Cylinder Mustang
The Mustang II era was over, and the Fox Body had arrived. But the 1979 3.3L 6-cylinder Mustang wasn’t much better. The straight six made about 89 horsepower. It was dog slow. Even by late 1970s standards. It was one of the weakest-performing Mustangs in the history of the model. The smaller 4-cylinder engine was actually better than the 3.3L six.
