Configure Your 2024 Ford Mustang Right Now!
Ford’s official configurator isn’t up and running yet, but you can start planning your 2024 Mustang build here!
The 2024 Mustang is finally here! While we’re still waiting on some important figures, like power and price, fans have seen the new sheet metal from every angle, and the response has been mostly good. Personally? I think that it was smart to go evolutionary as opposed to revolutionary, because as what’s sure to be the last generation of internal combustion Mustangs, keeping a clear line to the iconic model’s history was key. But the longer I look at it, the more I think the hips look like the Camaro’s.
That said, the new model means we get to make some new choices about exactly how we’d configure our dream Mustang. And while the Blue Oval hasn’t released an official configurator quite yet, Germany’s Modern Muscle Cars has got us covered. Now, because it’s not coming from Ford, this isn’t exactly perfect. For example, when I tried it, I couldn’t get the stripe package to render, but it also offers some choices — namely lowering and taillight color — that we’re unlikely to see on the official site.
One thing I liked about this configurator is that it defaults to Grabber Blue, which I think is the best color in Ford’s paintbox by far. With the model I tweaked for the lead image of this post, I didn’t do too much. I kept the Grabber Blue, I gave it a slight drop, and after experimenting with matching blue brake calipers, I went with red, for that classic Brembo look. I also skipped the spoiler, and colored the emblem on the front bronze, because why not.
On the yellow one above, I kept it basically the same, though I swapped the taillights for clear units. And for the record, I don’t think they look as good as the standard red ones. Obviously, your mileage may vary. At this point, there’s not option to configure the interior, which is fine with me, as the less said about that screen-focused interior, the better. That tech nightmare of a cabin, which doesn’t even have physical climate controls, is the S650’s fatal flaw. But maybe I’m wrong?
Explore this configurator, then hit me up and let me know what you think!
