It’s no secret that old-school American muscle cars have been lighting up auction blocks across the nation for the past couple of years. If it’s American, it’s nostalgic. And if it’s in good shape, boy will it bring some cash!

This video by Mecum Auctions shows off a 1965 Ford Mustang coupe headed to their Indianapolis auction later this month. Now, with an estimate of $450,000 to $650,000, you can get an idea that this isn’t just any Mustang coupe.

You’d be correct. This bad boy is Serial Number: 00002, meaning that it’s the very first Mustang coupe to receive an actual VIN number. In case you’re wondering, the very first Mustang convertible currently sits at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.

Under the hood is a date and code correct 170 CI inline 6-cylinder engine, and a 3-speed manual transmission. The stunning pony car is finished in a Caspian Blue exterior with Blue crinkle vinyl interior, and rides on 13-inch wheels with white sidewall tires.
