Ford Mustang Plows Into Crowd: It Happened Again

Ford Mustang Plows Into Crowd: It Happened Again

By -

When will this madness end?

It’s been well over a year since the “Mustangs hit crowds” internet meme gained popularity, and it seems like things haven’t gotten much better. You’d think that months upon months of snarky Internet ridicule would give Mustang owners pause and make them re-think their next car-show burnout.

Mustang Hits Crowd, Again

For many of us, it has, and we applaud your restraint. The fact is, nobody is impressed by vulgar displays of power unless you’re talking about the 1992 Pantera album, which still holds up.

However, someone at the recent Big Bang Meet in Bellflower, California, didn’t get the memo, and you can safely guess what happens next. Crowd, meet Mustang. Mustang, meet crowd. Here we go again.

In the video, you can see the Mustang performing donuts in tandem with a black Dodge Ram pickup. Surprisingly, the truck doesn’t live up to its namesake and manages to pull off some admittedly solid donuts.

The Mustang, on the other hand, has trouble keeping control, understeering and slowing to a stop mid-slide. Upon its second try, the worst possible outcome becomes a reality as the Mustang slides into the crowd before being overtaken by other spectators.

The spectators begin slapping, punching, and kicking the car. While no injuries were reported, the outcome could have been terrible. That said, it was a foolish choice for those spectators to watch and encourage the display before it went south. With no barriers and amateur drivers, this was bound to happen. Again, we’re glad nobody was hurt, and we hope everyone involved learned a valuable lesson.

For the most part, spectators will find car-show burnouts immature at best, irresponsible and callous at worst. Even worse, those displays could get the venue shut down, ruining everyone’s fun. Even if you don’t hit anyone, it’s a bad idea all around. Cut it out.
