Fox Body with Ford Big Block = Track Day Insanity
Purple Fox Body takes off from the start line faster than you can blink, and its big-block Ford screams mercilessly the entirety of the strip.
All too often, we see Fox Body Mustangs get Chevy powerplants. While we understand why it’s happening, it is still a little disheartening. That’s why we praise anyone making significant power and great racing numbers on Ford’s power, especially when they’re running a big block.
That’s exactly what we get in this video recently posted on the Jmalcom2004 YouTube channel. This gorgeous purple Fox Body looks plenty mean, but just looking at the car would never give away what is going on. Under that cowl induction hood sits a Ford big block V8. Not only that, but it’s carbureted. Talk about old school cool!
While the video does not offer much in terms of info on the car, after doing a little digging, we discovered why. The car is built and owned by Scott Milner of Coupe Performance. There is not a whole lot of info on this car, understandably. Who would willingly give up their secrets to victory? So, while we’d love to give you power specs, we don’t have access to any. That being said, we can tell you what we do know. It’s a big block, it has nitrous, it’s loud, and it is fast beyond belief.
The way this car takes off is absolutely mind-melting. If you blink when that light turns green, you’ll look up to find this car halfway down the track. The only giveaway you have that you missed the magic is the ear-splitting roar of that big throaty V8.
You can watch this monster beat on competitor after competitor throughout the video. Even though it’s basically the same every time, it certainly doesn’t get boring. In fact, we can’t commend the consistent launches of this thing enough. The driver of this monster knows precisely how to handle it!
Overall, we have to admire this thing. It’s everything you could possibly want a Fox Body drag car to be. It’s loud, unapologetic, and as fast as they come. We’ll definitely be keeping tabs on this beast!
