A widebody S550 that blends American, European, and Japanese tuning styles is definitely something we can get into.

Some so-called car enthusiasts like to dog the Ford Mustang because it’s relatively common. We here at Mustang Forums think that’s utter nonsense.

The Mustang’s ubiquity is its strength. With so many in circulation, nearly anyone can get their hands on one, and it’s interesting to see how different people interpret the platform.

Fifteen or twenty years ago, it seemed like every custom Mustang was built for drag racing, collecting car show trophies, or both. The Internet has made the world — and the car community at large — an increasingly smaller place and as a result, we’re seeing everything from drift Mustangs, stanced Mustangs, and even the occasional off-road Mustang.

Instagrammer Dylan Kinnisten, who goes by the handle dk.550, has one of the hottest S550s we’ve ever seen. Already an attractive car, Kinnisten took things to the next level with a widebody conversion.

While most folks associate the stance scene with imports, Kinnisten proves that the Ford Mustang can wear the look well. With the S550’s styling being the most European-inspired Mustang to date, it becomes a sort of four-wheeled chameleon, taking on whatever tuning style the owner chooses and wearing it with pride and class.

The giant Rotiform wheels fill the wheel wells perfectly, and hardly look out of place, despite the fact that this is the first time we’ve personally seen them on anything besides an Audi or BMW.

While the car has been shown with a large racing-style wing before, we prefer how it looks in its current form, with just the front diffuser and the factory wing.

Kinnisten’s Mustang is always changing and evolving — like all builds, it’s never quite done. We highly recommend following him on Instagram to see what’s in store next for his wildly unique S550.
