It took two years of searching, but one father gets the ultimate gift in a touching moment guaranteed to give you the feels.
Those of us that have kids typically cherish the little things they gift us over the years. Which is usually something like a crayon drawing or a handmade birthday card. Or perhaps a clump of dirt. And then there are those lucky few parents out there whose kids save up and buy them something that’s actually useful. In the case of Coby Oregon and his brother, that meant gifting their dad his dream car – a light blue 1966 Mustang.
According to this feel good video from USA Today, that simple act of incredible kindness is two years in the making. It was around that time when the Oregon brothers asked their dad what his favorite year and color was. But that wasn’t just some attempt at quality family bonding time. Little did papa Oregon know, his sons were gathering intel for the surprise of his life.
Quest For the 1966 Mustang
The pair finally located that very 1966 Mustang in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. And of course, they couldn’t just toss a bow on it and park it in his driveway. A special moment like this deserved a special surprise. So they parked it on the side of the road with a for sale sign, and even recruited a stranger to play the part of the seller.
The brothers then offered to take dad to breakfast, a route that just so happened to take them right by the Mustang. After encouraging him to take a look at the car, the gig was up. And needless to say, daddy was stunned. Heck, it took several minutes just for the reality of the situation to sink in. And watching it all unfold is guaranteed to give you the feels.
