Liberty Walk Takes on the S550 Mustang, but Will it Be a Hit?

We all know what they say about opinions…

Until now, Liberty Walk was a company who’d largely left the Mustang alone, but now they have a new kit for anyone who wants their S550 to stand out from the crowd in a rather significant way.

Rather than going with a clean factory look, Liberty Walk typically blasts away with blatant, oversized flares and extreme dimensions. Whether that works on the S550 is to be judged by you, the beholder.

After you’ve bought the Mustang, you’ll need another $6,800 for the kit, which has fender flares along with other body panel pieces including a new hood and splitter up front, rear spoiler and diffuser, and side skirts along each rocker panel. For the finished product shown here, air suspension and a wide set of wheels are added to show what can ultimately be made out of the company’s latest creation.

Looking back at theĀ initial prototype we saw in September, and considering how most of our readers prefer power over looks, this kit could be almost as controversial as putting an LS engine in a Fox Body.

Having said that, we can only imagine what would happen if someone put an LS engine in a Liberty Walk Mustang GT. Dividing by zero almost seems safer at that point.
