Throwback Thursday: Watch This Mustang Blow up on the Dyno!
I know what you’re thinking; it just had to be a Mustang! As cliche as it sounds, it’s true. For some reason, it seems that even when tied up to a rolling dyno Mustangs can’t stay out of trouble!
For this week’s throwback Thursday we bring you this YouTube footage by, 1320video, in which we see a rather common sight at most trade shows or large car gatherings. A rolling dyno is basically a dynamometer that’s able to be towed like a regular trailer, and then set up at a venue to work like a normal shop dyno. That being said, what happens in this video is never part of the plan.
If you fast-forward to the 0:40 second mark, you’ll see the exact reason why we featured this video, as well as why this Mustang owner was not a happy camper. In the end, we’re just happy no one has hurt after such a big blow out.
Remember, if you’re going to put your Mustang on a dyno, make sure your tires are in good shape!
