Mustang Driver Caught Doing 110 MPH

Mustang Street Racing

The next time you think about revving up for a late-night street race and you think nobody’s watching, you might want to keep this news bit in mind.

One driver is in jail after someone notified police about two Mustangs allegedly racing on a California highway at speeds of 110 mph, according to a SignalSCV.com report. Our guess is that it won’t be long before police nail the other Mustang driver after going through a few area security cameras.

Neither of the Mustangs involved in this particular race were the one pictured above, but we thought the photo does a pretty good job of illustrating the point of this post, which is that it’s easy to get caught street racing, regardless of the time of day.

The thing that most people tend to forget is that in this day and age, someone or something (as in cameras) is always keeping an eye on what’s going on. For street racers to think that they can escape that by racing at night is a lesson that can cost them dearly, in more ways than one.

Just remember, at minimum, being caught driving 100 mph in California can cost you a $1,000 fine, a 30 day license suspension, and 2 points on your DMV driver’s license record. And if someone gets hurt, you’re talking about a whole new world of trouble.

Hey, just food for thought.
