Shelby Readies New Styling Package for GT350

 Mustang Shelby GT350

Special add-ons will include custom wheels with Shelby center caps.

Go ahead, it’s okay to drool.

We’ve already spent about half the day here in the offices of Mustang Forum dreaming of what it’d be like to add just a couple of the extras Shelby American has in its upcoming styling package for the GT350. As highlighted in a recent Motor Authority report, Shelby is still in the product’s development stage and plans to reveal more details soon.

Of course, first we actually need to sell Ford on the idea of providing the MF team with a long-term loaner, with the freedom to add a few enhancements.

Sure, anyone fortunate enough to have spent some wheel time with the Shelby GT350 knows that the car really doesn’t need much improvement in the performance area. That’s why you’ll notice it’s being referred to as a “Styling” package.

However, we’ve heard of the world “styling” used before to mask something more sinister in the works. And, when it comes to Shelby American, that certainly wouldn’t surprise us given their history with higher-performance Mustangs.

Shelby is still developing the package and plans to reveal more information soon. Currently, the specifics on exactly what the new Shelby GT350 styling package will include are pretty sketchy. But based on the photos, it appears that lightweight wheels with Shelby center caps will be one of the offerings. Special floor mats and a numbered dash plaque will likely be included in the package, too.

According to Motor Authority, pricing for the package will start at around $6,500.
