What’s the Story Behind This Abandoned Mustang?

It’s rare that you come across a sixties Mustang just sitting on the street for months on end especially in Southern California where classic American cars are typically treasured. But here it is, less than a block away from the Hollywood Freeway near Studio City, just sitting there, rusting away.
Whose is it? No idea.

Original Owners Mustang Campaign Picks up Steam

Own a 1964 1/2 – 1973 model Ford Mustang?
Well, Kathy Miller wants to hear about it.
The Ohioan is on a mission to register as many original owners of first generation Ford Mustangs as she can as part of 50th Anniversary celebrations being planned for the car April 15 – 20, in Las Vegas and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Gail Wise Still Owns The World’s First Mustang Ever Sold

Gail Wise was 22 back in 1964 when she unknowingly bought the world’s first Ford Mustang days before CEO Lee Iacocca introduced the car at the World’s Fair. On April 15, 1964 she bought the car from Johnson Ford in Chicago when the salesman agreed to sell her the baby-blue convertible that was hiding underneath a car cover in a back room.

German Star’s Shelby GT500 Goes Up in Flames

Yup, hold your breath.
Those are the remains of a Shelby Mustang GT500 that went up in flames.
We know, it’s quite painful for us to look at too as we stare at the charred front end of the classic American muscle car. Apparently, the GT500, owned by, Mark Keller, the star of a popular German TV show, met its unfortunate fate during a breakfast run.
