We knew with all the spy shots of a higher performance variant of the new Mustang making their way around the internet, it was only a matter of time before some cool renderings start surfacing.

Apparently the typical Mustang restoration project wasn’t enough for a guy in Texas who owns a 1970 Mach 1.
Juan Martinez decided he wanted to pay homage to a rare Mach 1 “Twister Special,” which only consisted of 96 units when the model was first built.

Now that the 2015 Mustang has finally been unveiled it seems that we’ve become even more obsessed with getting information on the car. Clearly, for us Mustang fans, being “patient” is not one our strong suits.

We’re sure with the recent leak of what’s believed to be an actual photo of the 2015 Ford Mustang most figured we were all done sharing renderings of the car.
Well, not exactly.
A new one has surfaced depicting a Mach 1 version of the next generation Mustang done by Top Speed based on speculations that Ford plans to reintroduce the nameplate to the line-up.

Last week we reported that Ford might be dropping the Shelby GT500 in favor of the SVT Cobra for the next generation Mustang, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the Shelby name will be disappearing from the Ford lineup. According to our sources inside Ford, the company will introduce a Shelby GT350 model for 2016, a year after the next generation Mustang is launched for 2015. The big news is that the car will be an official Ford factory model, similar to the current Shelby GT500, and unlike the current GT350 model that is only a post-title package available directly from Shelby. Details about the 2016 Shelby GT350 are understandably scarce at the moment, but we hear it will be more of a stripped-down performance car just like in 1965, and expect it to be more affordable than the current model, which starts at just over $58,000.

There’s no denying that cars are special. No matter how many you end up owning, you never forget the first that was officially “yours.” Now, that might be a particularly fond memory if you drove something like a Corolla, but If it’s something like a mustang… You can bet that those years are going to be unforgettable.
