Mustang Restoration Project

If there’s one thing that really gets under my skin, it’s when some conniving thief preys on the elderly, especially a veteran.

That’s exactly what happened in the case of Harry Donovan from Indiana, according to the WTTV 4 story below.

In 2009, Mr. Donovan paid a man named Dennis Lee $1,500 to fix up a classic Mustang that Donovan gave his late wife in 1969. Donovan had hoped to restore the car in his wife’s memory. He eventually wound up giving Lee close to $6,000, but he never did get the Mustang. Then in 2014, Mr. Donovan was reading the newspaper and saw that Lee had been arrested on theft and drug charges.

Mr. Donovan’s family finally tracked the Mustang down at Lee’s girlfriend’s house. But the car is pretty much ruined. Now, Mr. Donovan is hoping that someone will step in and help him finally get the Mustang restored.

If there’s anyone here who thinks they can help Mr. Donovan, be sure to send an email to problemsolvers@cbs4indy.com.
