Default Catch can

I was told by my Ford tech that the 2017 Eco Boost mustang PCV valve has been upgraded and the catch can isn't required anymore. Anyone else heard this.

I haven't heard that, and personally, I would not believe it. IF that were so, then
no one would be making catch cans. I see a plethora catch can kits for 2015-2018 2.3
Ecoboost.

Maybe there still making them for the older models. Will visit a couple more Ford dealers and see what they say.

Also maybe it's their way of making more money. Wouldn't be the first time a company made products that you don't need.

I would still run the catch can just to be safe.

Catch can was the first thing I did to my 2019. After 1600 miles, I have a small amount of oil in it. Think about what that small amount of oil coming back into the intake is going to look after 50 k miles. In my opinion, it's the single most important add on to prolong your engines life span.
