A)
B)First set from BSM. Stripes were blemished and they did nothing about it. Practically blaming me for it. Went with rallystripes.com turned out good. Can't remember price.
C)10" with 2"spacing on hood only
D)Install wasn't bad at all. Just time and patience
E)Vinyl
F)No
G)Just wanted to give the car a little more aggressive look

Got mine from BSM, Rob was great to deal with. Stripes were high quality 3M stripes, got the universal kit. Shelby double hood stripes with 1inch pin stripes, 1 inch spacing between them all. Paid like 80 bucks for the whole kit, then paid for a professional install at 200 bucks. A kit from graphics express would have cost me 250 before the pin stripes with no install.

B) From Baltimore Street Mods
C) These are the SS Superstripe, I believe it is 18" with 1" space to the 1" pin stripe. I don't recall the price now, around $180
D) I had a shop install them (except for the piece over the windshield, I did that since the pictures were taken).
E) Vinyl
F) The shop said that this style was a much more difficult install than the dual stripes, and that they would charge anyone else a lot more than the $120 they charged me for the same style.
G) I like the different look to this stripe setup - I've only seen one other Mustang around here with the same style, a Black one with a red stripe from Canada in downtown Detroit.

Default RE: Stripe Thread

So here's my stripe story. Got the 10" glossy black stripes from BSM. Installed 'em myself in my driveway in about 3 hours or so. Gotta admit that I decided not to do the front bumper a) b/c it had already taken me so long, and b) wasn't sure if I could do it or not. I think they came out okay. I didn't go down the back of the car either b/c I plan to get the spoiler painted hoping for that retro-Mach1 look with the blackout panel. I highly recommend doing it yourself if you have the time/inclination...much cheaper that way. I paid about $60 for the stripes and it took about 3 hours or so on a Saturday.

Anyway, being the perfectionist that I am, there's a few things I would do differently if I did it again, but overall I'm happy so far. Gotta get rid of that billet fuel door though, doesn't go well with my torch red/black theme!! lol!

A)

B) Got these from BSM for about $70.
C) Dont recall off the top of my head. Lets just say they're BIG.
D) Installed them myself. Took about 45 mins.
E) Vinyl
F) If you're not a patient person I wouldn't recomend installing them yourself.
G) No reason, just liked the way they look.

A) See below
B) Graphics Express
C) Not sure about stripe width but wide. 2" gap between
D)Install was not bad, hardest part was being patient and getting the measurements right
E) Vinyl
F) Not that hard to do yourself with a little patience
G) Thought it went best with the appearance I was going for with the painted black rear spoiler

Rygen,
Glad you posted in this thread. I would have sworn, looking at other pics of your car, that they were painted on.....This is good news for me, since I just ordered my stripes from BSM. I need some opinions, and apologize in advance for the slight thread hijack....but here goes......

First pic is the look I am chasing......Second pic is my car currently.....I ordered these same stripes, i.e. SS Superstripe....I am not going to stripe the front bumper, but I am going to black out the paint area just below the lower grill. Can't do the chin spoiler for clearance reasons.....So here is the question....Do I stripe the roof and truck lid, or do I stripe just the hood???? If I do the truck lid, I would not stripe the spoiler, since it is already black. I would not stripe the back bumper. The trunk lid stripe would run down the back badge area, since I have a removable blackout panel......

Opinions please.....
Thanks,
Mike

Right on man. You will be happy with BSM's 3m stripes.

Hey there! Just my humble opinion but here's what I think...

Do the hood, roof, and deck lid. I agree with not doing the front bumper or the spoiler if it's already black. You might even consider cutting the stripes off right at the spoiler depending on what kind of spoiler you got. IMO the black spoiler and blackout area look great!

Good luck. The stripes really aren't that hard, I took a long time only b/c I'd never done it before and was working alone. Post some pics when you're done!
