Default HID Lights

I was thinking about getting the HID kit from stangmods.com. and i just had 2 questions. will the higher heat melt my lenses? and i plan on getting UDP's pretty soon and i know that affects the altenator output so would that make it run harder or make the lights dimmer?

No heat concerns and no dimming. The UDPs are not going to affect your alternator output enough to even worry about it.

Actually HID lights with the ballasts or the setup from Saleen will run cooler and use less power- about 35 watts as opposed to 55 watts standard. Also if it is an HID bulb that you put in place of the stock bulb it will run hotter as they run 70-100 watts and it can fry wiring or worse cause a fire. A true HID bulb requires a different system to power it than the standard bulbs and lights running on the stock GT or V6. Get silver stars and be done with it. they work great and are no hotter than the factory ones but brighter and whiter! J
