I'm sure there's a post somewhere about this, at least in bits and pieces, but how does the regular guy who wants a unique 2005 Conv GT Stang obtain body kits, engine mods, etc. and get them installed by someone who knows what they're doing?

Is there a particular way to go about this? Local body shop? Dealership?

Well to get the Body Kits the best places would be to look at the sites of the forum sponsors between them you can get virtually any kit out there for the 05+ Stangs. To get them installed look around for a good body shop, talk to people at shows, especially the winners of any best paint or exterior awards and see where they had their cars painted. Now when you do this do not be surprised if the price seems higher than the small shop that dose mainly collision repair the quality of the end result will be different.

Engine mods, well there are alot of good Mod Motor mechanics and tuners out there, some are also sponsors of this forum. If you tell us where you are located as a group we can probably refer you to a good mechanic in your area. Also plan out EXACTLY what you want before you buy anything. I cnnot count how many friends have ended up wasting money on parts they ultimatly replaced.

Dealerships are not that helpful in most cases however there are dealers out there that have been kind and helpful to modifiers.
