I definitely won't be buying it at that price. I have a couple tricks left up my sleeve though. Last year about 2 weeks after I got it, I got hit due to a guy blowing a stop sign. The bumper they put on it is sagging under one headlight and looks like crap. As soon as my other axis wheel comes it and I get it on, i'm gonna take it back and see if they will put another bumper on it. If they will, i'll see if they will let me pay the difference of the two bumpers and the other items needed to get the price down and do it that way. At least the bumper would be free. Also I have a friend that works in a ford body shop that I will try to get him to order the stuff at cost for me and paint my stripes...hopefully all works out.

Yes the cost on these parts went through the roof. I think this conversion is officially dead now. I'm just glad that I did mine when the prices were still reasonable. I get my parts at cost and I've had a few people back out on the conversion once I got a final estimate together for everything involved. Oh and on parts price post the guy forgot to mention that those head lights and fog light prices are each. You need two of them.

RE: Where to buy Cobra front facia
I just bought my bumper conversion. Total is $1126.87 plus shipping (Shipping is very cheap though) You will also need several brakets, but they are included in tha price. This does not include the hood or emblem. Also, I didn't buy the little chin spoiler because I don't want it. I think the spoiler is about $50 but I am not sure.
I had to buy it in 2 chunks, but the large parts (bumper, grilles, bumper isolator and fog lights) was only $50 shipping.
I don't want to get these guys in trouble or anything by posting their info in a forum, but PM me if you want their contact info.

RE: Where to buy Cobra front facia
I don't like the GT-500 hood, but I read that the purpose of the vents in the GT500 is two-fold: 1. Heat extractor; 2. Allow build up of air under hood to excape. Apparantly, with the larger grill on the GT500 fascia, there is an increase buildup of air and at high speeds, the stock hood has an increased chance of lift off. I am interested in converting my 06 GT convertible and want to keep the stock hood. However I am a bit concerned about the issue of air build up at high speeds.
