Default rear seat delete

just curious if anyone's done it, has pics, and opinions... i'm thinking about it for weight savings, a cleaner looking interior, and for a bit more space to toss stuff in the back (i'm in school, so i'm always hauling things around). thanks, guys.

Not sure what large amount stuff you need to haul around in a Mustangthat makes you want to pull out the seats.

You can fold the seats down for hauling, or put them back up to make room for 3 college ladies...

You can put 7' boards inside if you fold all the seats down.

There is more than enough room for stuff in the Mustang.

My wife goes shopping in it once in a while. Trust me, it fits A LOT!

Without the seats it might also look, um, nastyback there...

i just find that the seats look kinda bulky really. oh, and i have a girlfriend. i noticed you can store a hell of a lot of stuff underneath where the seats are located, and i just thought it would look a bit more spartan (i have a completely base v6, since i plan on replacing a lot of things in the interior and with the suspension//drivetrain. I don't need chrome pieces and all that stuff, but at the same time, I'm not the kind of guy that wants to strip off door panels and dashboards... i just kinda like the look of the delete

You can take off the bottom part for sure, you'll need to rig something for the back of theseats though. As they are also the inside door to the trunk, unless you want a really wide open area. I personally don't think it will look clean at all.

I don't have much contrast in the car, everything is charcol so I barley notice the back seat..

well, i was looking at designing something light-weight with a hinge and bolt so i can raise and lower the backing. kind of like the 95-04 style delete kit (metal grate style).
