Rear black out sticker install

RE: Rear black out sticker install
I have done this myself with great results...here is how i did it:
1) you have to make sure the area you are going to apply it is clean; no dirt at all or it will show through
2) take your black out vinyl out of the tube it comes in and place it over the area you are going to apply it without removing the backing and make sure there is like a half inch extra vinyl over the edges of the trunk on the left right and bottom sides....
3) remove the vinyl from the test area
4) have like a spray bottle with like a 75% water/25% dish detergent solution and spray the solution over the entire area that the vinyl will be applied
5) remove the backing from the vinyl (make sure it isnt windy or it'll blow your vinyl around and make it stich to itself)
6) place the vinyl on the area to be applied and position it as you wish ensureing that there is amount equal of vinyl extending over the left right and bottom sides; the top side should be in line with the trunkANGLE not the groove
7) once the vinyl is in position, have like a small rubber blade or squeege torub thevinyl from themiddle out and get all the detergent out...getting all the water out gets trickyso you want a blow dryerand blow the vinyl on high about 5 inches away; this will cause the vinyl to become softer and you can see the water bubbles easier
8) once all the water is out and there are no more bubbles, now you have to work on the edges since they overlap the trunk
9) use the blow dryer on high to blow the edges; this will cause the vinyl edge to soften and start to shrivel up so just use ur fingers to fold it underneath to the inside of the trunk and pinch it together so it will stay; if you have blown it enuff it will be very soft so when you pinch it it will bond since it is pretty much melted
thats pretty much it...just gotta work that blow dryer.....heat is the key...
feel free to ask if you have any more questions

He gave great info. The key is to just keep working the ari bubbles. Rub a little then take a small break and come back to it. As it dries, it tightens up and will form new wrinkles. Just be patient and keep workin it
