Painted "Side Skirts"???
I've finally got an awesome sounding MRT exhaust, I got the running pony fender emblems today, and now I'm looking to find something to make my 4.0 body look better. Is it possible to paint the black "side skirts" that came with the V6? Or do I have to purchase new side skirts?
Yes, it's possible to paint your black ones. Since they have a texture, they'd have to be sanded first. Due to the low price of the painted GT sideskirts, most guys choose to order them from various "takeoff" part suppliers.
I got my painted skirts off ebay for $70.

Sweet! Thanks for the advice. On a personal note, congrats on beating the 350Z! I had one, but sold it because the payments were killing me and I was getting married. But it's cool. I love my stang!!!
They're vinyl. But I'm thinking aboutcandy painting my car (still black) and painting the stripes back on in a few years.
But as for the painting thestock side skirts, here's a pic of mine that i just had done:

Did you put them on yourself or did you have someone else do it? If so how much did it cost? I bought a pair of 10" precut black stripes from rallystripes.com but dont know where to bring it to get it put on.
