It's just glued on. Many guys on here have used fishing line going back and forth in a sawing fashion to get behind the molding. Once it's off, take WD-40 or Goo Gone to remove the adhesive. Make sure you clean the area afterwards and put on some wax.

I'm sure others will chime in with their experience.

a heat gun would work just keep it away from the paint about 4 -6 inches and dont keep it in one place for a long time.

I left the car out in the sun and used an ID card to pry an edge then just pulled it off. Most of it came off right away then i used a little adhesive remover to get the remainder. I hope ur cars not dirty because u will see the outline until u wash it. but on mine its a little darker where it was...

Anybody done this on a satin sliver car? I am a little worried about the paint under the molding being a little different shade. I plan on color sanding and buffing the door. I suppose if I can see an outline I could get new moldings from Ford?

directfordparts.com has these molding strips in all colors......they are about $14.00 and come pre-painted.
