I just got an 08 GT. It came w/ that GT Appearance pkg - which I didn't really want/need. Anyway, I want to get rid of the factory scoop. Anyone know how to go about doing this w/ out completely screwing up the hood?

if its like the 07 hood scoop it should have 4 bolts and I think 6 clips, if you remove it you will have the 4 bolt holes to fill and paint... Hope this helps

where are you from and what color is your car? The easiest thing to do would be swap hoods with someone who wants the scoop. Shouldnt be hard to find someone.

Remove the scoop, sell it on e-bay, and use the money to fill/paint the holes.
