Default racing stripe

lookin at racing stripes for the black gt. anyone ever put them on yourself?? also once they are on, can you take them off?

I put them on myself. Not an easy task, but not impossible either. Plan on an entire weekend to get them on right. Patience is the key.

and yes, once they are on, you can later remove them.

Well, mine isn't black, and I've made some additions since these pics, but the stripes are on. I used Baltimore Street Mods stripes and would recommend them to anyone considering this.

I looked into the stripes being installed by Ford. After they gave me a quote, I decided to paint.

Installed mine myself. Not toooo bad. You just need plenty of patience and a blow dryer. And yes you can take them off. That's one of the reasons I went with the vinyl kit. If I ever decide to go with another color or leave them off I can do so. I imagine if you left them on for a few years and lived in a sunny area you may have an issue with paint fade however.
