i think i got it narrowed down to cowl or ram air. but i want it bigger than the steeda, that one looks like only 2" cowl, and i would want at least 3 or 4, i like to have the intimidation factor too.
Bigger is better!! I say do it!!

Here's a 3" one....

Here is a pic of the opening of the steeda 2.5 cowl. The concpet of a cowl vent is not heat venting out of opening but air being sucked into the cowl... The air rushing under the car causes an area of low pressure under the hoodwhich causes air to be sucked inthe cowland then it is vented under the car. Or atleast that is what i have read...

Sorry for the miss-info guys. Didn't know that our stock hoods were aluminum. Love the hoods Killbee & OKBFD

I wish there were aftermarket vents that could be put onto our hoods. Heck, any venting of heat is better than nothing

The cheapest way to lower the weight of these cars is for the drivers to go on a diet. If you like the look of the hood and it lowers the temp the way you want it then go for it. Too many people worry about operating weight of the vehicle but fail to realize that the driver is the normally the weak link in the chain.
