It has to go passed the lengh of the grille opening.

Unfortunately the Street Scene grille may be designed to only fit the factory OEM front bumper. Since you have an aftermarket front bumper that may be preventing the grille from having a perfect fit. However I am no expert so I may very well be wrong. Trying the suggestions on this page is definitely worth the shot and hopefully someone can chime in with the perfect solution.
