Hey guys,

Yeah I'm new but had a couple questions that you could hopefully help me out with. Just got my HID kit from retro solutions and getting ready to install it.

First off, did you guys use 3m tape (available @ local car shop?) to mount the ballasts or did you use some sort of bracket vs. drilling into the frame.

Second, I know that the kit has to be powered by the battery but i noticed that in the kid there's only a wire for the positive connection of the battery?

Lastly, I've figured out where everything hooks up to but am having difficulties finding the headlight wire harness. Where exactly is it?

My kit off of ebay came with 3m doublesided tape in the box (it looks like two sticky note pads). The positive terminal is the only one you hook up to. The harness should have multiple other extra rings hanging off of it at random points that need to be grounded. Just find the nearest screw and remove it then place the ring under the screw to ground it. The headlight signal comes from your stock headlight wiring harness (the one that plugs right into the back of your stock headlight bulbs.) Hope this helps. ask more questions if needed.

No problem. if you get stuck again, just ask. I had two problems when i installed my kit. First the plugs that go onto the balasts plugged on either way on my kit, and i had the polarity switched on them since there was no indication on how the clip went on. Then i found out that my bixenon function was reversed. It turned out they send me a defective set of bulbs that were mounted upside down in the plastic housing, so I ended up sending them back. I'm planning on getting a 5000K bixenon set from Retro after I get my car inspected this fall.
