Default A Question for you rear louver folk

I'm thinking about buying either the plastic rear louver or the aluminum ones. My question is if i get either rear louver can i still run my car through the automated car washes? I live in an apartment complex and don't have the luxory of washing my car in front of my place. Thanks in advance!

I couldn't say since I wash mine by hand. But my aluminum Astra-Hammond is pretty darn solid. I'm not sure how driving at 120 MPH compares to those car wash brush things...

If I were in your shoes, I'd simply remove the louver before going to the car wash. For me, that's 4 knurled screws and about 2-3 minutes of my time; a tad longer to reinstall.

Yeah, that seems the smartest thing to do. I want to get the ABS plastic louvers (assuming they're lighter than the aluminum ones) but my Donna wants the aluminum ones. I'd be happy either way. Thanks for the input!

I'll sell you mine for $200 + 25 for shipping lol.

I have to deal with the winters up in AK so I'd either have to just leave them on or take them off and then put them back on during the spring.. just a hassle. They look great but I'd rather just have the aluminum ones, though they might be just as annoying during the winter.

I had washed mine in the car wash no problems at all.

Just make sure you use the touchless car wash.
