I need to get a new rocker panel due to an accident I had with my car (very minor) and was wondering how this would look: paint the lower lips of the rear and front bumpers black (flat or gloss) and buy the V6 rockers and paint them to match... thus creating a black ring around the whole bottom line of the car.

Any ideas how this would look?

I think it would look good especially as a contrast to the silver, take a look at my cardomain page for some pics I did a similar theme on mine with a black chin, factory black side skirts&painted the lower lip of the GT bumper I had on it black, also a gt500 is along the same lines for what might be a better comparison

Well, if you think about it, visually, that's going to create the illusion of raising the car. Black, especially matte black is going to blend with the shadow created by the car, and make it appear that there's more space between the ground and the underside of the car.

Just something to consider.
