Question What wheel spacers do I need?

My local sears has a set of 17'' SSC Chrome wheels for a great bargain. THeir 75 for the first three with the 4th one freen. My tire size on my '05 GT is a 235/55/17. They first tried fitting the rims on the front and they will not fit. They'd be rubbing against my calipers. They said I would need a spacer to make them fit. maybe 3/8'' or slightly more.I've heard alot of negative things about spacers but This is a bargain and They just barely rub on the calipers, is there a link to the spacers that would maybe be most appropriate for my situation??

Easy fix. Get (4) 6.25mm spacers. $10 bucks each at most.

What offset are the Sears rims. That's what we REALLY need to know.

I'd have to go back and find out, but where can I find these spacers? Advanced autos doesn't carry them.

Usually an Off Road or Custom Car shop has them. They are very generic but function well for said purpose without any ill effects. I have them on my SN95 and they saved me a ton of money from having to buy new wheels.

I used these guys for rear spacers because the Off Road shop in my town didn't have the rear spacers I needed, but you can call them and ask for Roger. He runs the ebay part of this store.

If you go any bigger than 6.25mm, then I'd be pickier on the selection to lessen the possibility of vibration, but if the 6.25mm spacers are going to keep the wheels you want off the brakes, and they are placed on the car CENTERED, you won't have any vibration.........ask me how I know.

Wheel's from Wallgreens are a better deal

But 6.25 mm isn't a serious spacer, I ran it on a Friend's 2003 mustang without a problem.

I took some 1/4'' spacers to the sears to try again. Still won't work. They couldn't get the wheel to rotate. I really don't know what to do now. It would be a shame to miss out on such a bargain for rims.
