New hood idea's
Hey guys,
So after getting a rather crummy pain job on my new 09 GT, I am starting to get the inkling of replacing my hood *as the rest of the body came out fine*. At present, I have a vapor silver GT with the appearance upgrade. In addition to this, I have bumper to bumper 10x2 black stripes panted on.
I really don’t care for the "cowl" type hoods, but I will want something that will accent and carry off the 10" black stripes of the rest of the vehicle. A pre-painted hood is a w/e as it will need to be painted again for the stripes. Likewise, I will want something aggressive looking. Ram air is an option, but I do plan on putting in a CAI, and I honestly don’t know how ram air will work with the box.
Anyways, suggestions would be appreciated...likewise some pics with 10"x2" strips would really ease my mind about the various options out there.

Well as it stands, I am growing more and more partial to the GT500 style hood offered through American Muscle

However, I have not heard or read anything concerning this hood. Likewise, I have yet to find any online photos of this hood on a vehicle. Anyways, if anyone has some decent photos of black on silver I would really appreciate it.

Don't care for the cowl look myself as well, went with the Cervini's Mustang Concept Hood with the ram air kit. Don't think it will work with a CAI and haven't seen one with stripes but it does keep the low hood look with some aggressive styling.

I always liked the looks of the Shelby CS6 hood, which looks good with stripes.

Click the link for 10 inch main stripes and 2 inch gap between them in my sig.......(opposite color scheme though). The GT500 hood for some reason is not that popular except on non modded GT500's...LOL Most switch them out for the KR hood or any other aftermarket one for that matter. Personal preference. I love the cowl hoods but again its not my car. here is a pic from the link in my sig
