Heat the badge with a hairdryer, then you should be able to work it off (it's stuck on with double sided tape). If you need something more, try "sawing" back and forth behind the badge with dental floss or fishing line.

I thought there were prongs with one of those push type lock washers on the other side.....no?

The badge I removed was the 45th Anniversary Badge. There are 2 plastic prongs that go through 2 holes in the fender. There were no locking devices on the prongs...the tape does all the holding, the prongs are for correct placement.

UAW assembly line worker alignment pins, yes.
Spring clip washer type fastners, no.
Not in this space age of adhesives.
